How Can I Restore PC Backup Restore from External Hard Drive?

Many users have problems with PC Backup Restore recognising either the external hard drive or the image file (PC Backup File). The trick is when using the Restore Wizard don't choose the 'simple' Restore Files button.

It can be confusing, since it says, "Restore your files from a backup made on this computer." but because you reinstalled the OS, technically it's no longer the 'same' computer.

Choose 'Advanced restore", and then choose "Files from a backup made on a different computer."

At the next step, point the program to the location of your backup and you should now be able to restore the files quick and easy.
