UploadFile

Uploading a File Attachment or Image

  • Copy and paste or type ?action=upload at the end of the URL (top of browser and where web address is found) of the page you want to edit.
     Example
     http://www.wikitec.net/index.php?n=Tips.SecurityEssentials?action=upload, then select Enter
  • When asked for password, type in wikitec then select OK
  • An Attach link positioned at top right hand side of page will appear (between "History" and "Print" link) while you are in upload mode. This is convenient if you need to further upload files
  • In the File to upload field click the "Browse" button and browse (locally) to the file/s you want to upload and double click or select the Open button.
  • Use the Name attachment as: field to name the file you want uploaded i.e. image.jpg or attachment.pdf and select the Upload button. Warning: Do NOT leave spaces in the name of the file otherwise it will not show
  • If successful you will see a message image.jpg: successfully uploaded

Note: A 100kb limit has been placed on the upload file at present, if this proves inconvenient please contact us and we will up the limit

Location of File

The location is http://www.wikitec.net/uploads/Tips/filename.ext or http://wikitec.ascconsultants.com.au/uploads/Tips/filename.ext (depending on where you are working from. One of these paths should be placed in the edit page to link you nearly uploaded file or image.

Note: These sites are both the same, one has and alias name
